DEPARTMENTS

The Department of  ELECTRICAL and ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

Master of Science (with Thesis) and Doctor of Philosophy programs

Over the past several decades, electrical engineering, together with meterials science and physics, has ushered in a host of technical breakthroughs. The electrical department encompasses a broad range of research and educational interests. It is the policy of the department to involve each faculty member in a balanced combination of research and teaching so as to fully benefit the students.

The mission of the department is to provide excellence in gradute education, so that our graduates become critical thinkers, creative problem solvers and life long learners.

The graduate programs include Master of Science with Thesis and Doctor of Philosophy pograms which aim to educate engineers, who design, implement and improve systems in various specialization fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering such as telecommunications, signal and image processing, control systems, microcomputers and digital systems, power electronics, microelectronics and VLSI design. Labs for research in the department include the communication systems, power electronics, control systems, digital and basic electronics labs.

The target in the graduate program with thesis is; to teach the student, how to make research, analyze and synthesize information and realize technological systems; while in the doctorate program, the target is; to supply the candidate with conditions so as to make independent scientific studies, to decide on how to investigate a subject deeply and to form an academic notion.

The Department of  COMPUTER ENGINEERING
Master of Science (with and without Thesis) programs

The graduate programs include Master of Science with and without Thesis. Computer Engineering discipline contains the essence of theoretical studies and experimental methods of pure sciences and designing aspects of engineering sciences.  Along with this line of reasoning, it can be regarded as a critical discipline that has a  line share of putting theory and application all together. Curriculum of our graduate program conducts research in computer design, networking, parallel processing, software engineering, data security, criptology and information retrieval, it is organized around a strong foundation of pure sciences, engineering and computer sciences.

Computer Engineering / Master of Science (with and without Thesis) program

The Department of INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING
Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The graduate program includes Master of Science with Thesis which is composed of manufacturing engineering, management science, operations research, production systems, planning and control of service systems. The curriculum, aimed to focus on the design of human-machine systems and scientific management of engineering activities, is supported by computer and management technologies, as well as advanced probability, statistics and mathematics.

Industrial Engineering / Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The Department of  BIOMEDICAL  ENGINEERING
Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The graduate program includes Master of Science with Thesis which is designed to provide an advanced level education in this rapidly developing field through research. The current research areas are biomedical signal processing, biosensor developments, nanotechnology, artificial organs and biomechanics.

Laboratories for research include computer laboratories, electronics laboratory, biomedical research laboratory and biomechanics research laboratory.

Biomedical Engineering / Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The Department of  QUALITY  ENGINEERING
Master of Science (without Thesis) program

The graduate program includes Master of Science with Thesis which aims to design, measure and improve the quality of products and processes. using the concepts, techniques and methods of science and engineering. This program designs, implements and improves planning and control systems.

In parallel to the rapid developments in modern production and service systems, there is an increasing demand for speacialists on the techniques and methods of quality engineering. In this context, Master of Science in Quality Engineering program will provide candidates a different point of view and new career opportunities, making them elegant members of active teams.

The program welcomes all graduates of engineering, technical education, science, and management majors, as well as all graduates having background in Science and Mathematics.

Quality Engineering / Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The Department of  STATISTICS and COMPUTER SCIENCE
Master of Science (with Thesis) program

The graduate program includes Master of Science with Thesis which combines various areas such as science, engineering, economics, business administration, communication, and fine arts. The aim of the program is to train specialists who can bring theoretical solutions to long-term problems that concern the socio-economic and political future of the country.

Theoreticians who possess mathematical knowledge of theories related to the fields mentioned above and who effectively utilize information technologies will be in increasing demand.
